Review: Rosenblum Rockpile Road Vineyard 2010 Zinfandel (SRP $35): Generous and rich in style, this fruit-driven wine exhibits concentrated dark berry fruit flavors alongside black cherry preserve, sweet dark plum, and spicy mocha notes with bittersweet chocolate nuances lingering in the background. On the palate, the wine reveals a luscious, mouth-filling texture with pillow-soft tannins and soft acidity. Overall, this is a ripe, fleshy wine with big flavor that’s perfect for enjoying near a toasty fireplace on a cold winter night. From personal experience, I can tell you that it pairs quite well with baby back ribs finished with a thick, slightly sweet barbecue sauce. Region: Sonoma County, California. (Other info: ABV 15.2%, cork enclosure). 89 Points.
