Quick Sip: Amorosa Bella 2010 RRV Chardonnay
Hello Friends,
Although the Jordans were vacationing in Lake Tahoe, the weekly Cellars of Sonoma TV Tuesday Live web broadcast still went on. For this episode, Scott Jordan tasted several Amorosa Bella wines from the beautiful backyard of close friends. The wines were paired with a delicious array of fine foods that seemed easy to make (just check out the video). Several of us viewing online, who I will refer to as the #tvtuesdaylive wine crew, had the Amorosa Bella 2010 Russian River Valley Chardonnay to taste alongside Scott, family, and friends. Dr. Charlyn Belluzzo is the owner of Amorosa Bella; she is also the author of "Authentic Sensual Living, Your Guide to Igniting All Your Senses and Enriching Your Life." The name of her company, “Amorosa Bella” means beautiful lover in Italian and Charlyn says, “The love affair is with life!” Amorosa Bella offers wine, candles, gourmet chocolates, perfumes, and other products that Charlyn believes, “bring greater pleasure to everyday life.” I can certainly attest [and raise a glass] for one of the the products listed! Can you guess which?
Amorosa Bella 2010 RRV Chardonnay
The Amorosa Bella 2010 Russian River Chardonnay (SRP $26, COS $19.50) received positive reviews from online tasters during the Cellars of Sonoma #tvtuesdaylive web broadcast. The wine is light straw in color with fairly bright aromas and flavors. The swirl and sniff offers fresh green apple, tangerine, lemon zest and soft melon scents. The palate is vibrant with tangy acidity and a medium length finish that’s complimented by an almond like character and a faint touch of spiced pear. It’s perfect for light hors d'Å“uvres, fish tacos (which I had), and even a refreshing summer sipper to enjoy on a hot summer day. From a QPR (quality-to-price-ratio) perspective, if you can find this wine at the COS price versus the SRP, by all means check it out. Also, check out the Amorosa Bella web page (link below) and visit the Products with Passion store – I hear the chocolate with sea salt pairs wonderfully with Amorosa Bella Sparkling Brut. As a matter of fact, rather than hear about it, I may need to visit the store and find out for myself. Cheers!
